Description

Players will experience the continuation of the tactical role-playing series in Valkyria Chronicles 4, in a unique watercolor graphic style, with new characters and a gripping war story full of hope, momentous triumphs and heartbreaking losses.

The continent of Europe - an alternative timeline - is in the midst of the Second European War between the Atlantic Federation and the autocratic Eastern European imperial alliance. Although the Federation is bravely fighting the forces of the Empire, the ruthless Imperial military machinery threatens to devour them. The operation "Northern Cross" is to avert the threat of defeat by a daring attack on the imperial capital at the last moment. Commander Claude Wallace and his most loyal friends are sent as Squad E to ensure the success of the desperate operation. But not only scary dangers and countless imperial soldiers await the brave heroes, but also the terrible Valkyria and a bloodcurdling realization.

• Watercolor Aesthetics: The visual style of the series has been completely redesigned for the newest generation. Inspired by watercolors, the CANVAS graphics engine combines reality and imagination to create an expressive and colorful world - like an interactive painting.
• The Return of a Legendary Composer: Hitoshi Sakimoto-san, composer of the Valkyria Chronicles series and numerous other emotional game soundtracks, returns to compose the orchestral backing for Valkyria Chronicles 4.
