In this selection you will meet St. Edith Stein, St. Theophane Venard, Blessed Charles de Foucauld, and other martyrs who heroically gave up their lives for the Lord over the past century.Saints and martyrs have paved the path for us for many centuries. They inspire us to want to give our lives to the Lord-perhaps not as martyrs, but through the everyday events of our lives that challenge us to put Jesus first in every situation. We owe much to these men and women, not simply because of their deaths, but even more because they loved God and his people during their lives.
