The rosary is a treasured tradition of the church, a marvelous prayer in the words of Pope John Paul II. In his Letter on the Rosary, the Holy Father urged a revival of this time-honored method of Christian contemplation and introduced a new set of mysteries, the Mysteries of Light. He also suggested the proclamation of related biblical passages as an accompaniment to each mystery as a way of allowing God to speak to us as we pray. The Mysteries of Christ: A Scriptural Rosary features pertinent Scripture verses from both the Old and New Testament for each Our Father and Hail Mary for all twenty mysteries of the rosary.
