God, The Joy Of My Life was written to introduce English speaking readers to Saint Teresa of Jesus of the Andes, a young Chilean Carmelite nun and mystic who is being referred to abroad as the newest star in the firmament of Carmel. The book is arranged so that the first biography of this Carmelite ever to appear in English is followed by a translation of her Intimate Spiritual Diary, which she kept from age 15 until her untimely death three months short of her twentieth birthday. The Diary is then followed by A Biographical Guide to the principle events of her life. An English translation of the Papal homilies preached by Pope John Paul II in Spanish at her beatification and canonization have bee included. Some select photographs of the Saint have been added.
