The Young Ones
The show involves four lunatic students who live in a flat. There was Rik, the OTT one, Vyvian who was always the experimental scientific one, Neil, the worried hippy, and Mike, the ladies man. Each episode usually featured a performance by a band. Each band's name is listed with the guest stars. Most episodes run near 35 min. Repeats in the UK have been edited to 30 min. Several scenes were censored from the MTV airings in the mid-1980s
Depressed Hippie Neil has plans on killing himself while Rick, Mike and Vyvyan go on ignoring him. The council plans on demolishing the house but have to beat Vyvyan who is using his body to destroy the house from the inside.
The boys move into their new house while Vyvyan locates oil in the basement. Mike sees this as an opporutnity to rule the house like a dictatorship with Vyvyan against Rick and Neil.
Oblivious to terrorists, dancing vegetables, and card-playing mice, the boys complain of being bored.
The guys discover a bomb in the house, just in front of the fridge.
The guys throw a wild party.
The guys may starve to death while monumental rains threaten to run them out.
