A woman suffering from amnesia tries to rediscover her life.
When her friend says that she's in rehab, Samantha tries to go along with it as well as trying to figure out what she actually does for a living. Along the way, she discovers that she has a doctor's appointment, but not what she figures it to be for.
Samantha finds herself a bridesmaid in a wedding planned before her memory loss, only to arrive and find that she's not welcome.
Beacause of her continuing amnesia, Samantha cannot remember anything about her sex life. So, she decides to embark on a personal quest to find the right guy to experiment with.
Samantha finds out she's had a restraining order placed on her and finds out about the strained relationship she's had with her father, all as a result of hearing a song from her past, not realizing what it's all about.
In an effort to recover her memories, Samantha turns to a hypno-therapist, only to find out that she might be adopted.
After finding out she likes hockey, Samantha decides to get re-involved in her lost interest in an effort to impress a blind date in which her parents set her up. Andrea decides to go to Rome with her new-found boyfriend.
Things are not as they seem as Samantha remembers what happened in the past after she dumps her father's car into the lake.
Samantha's first night of intimacy with Kevin has her falling head over heels over the guy, and some drastic changes at work have her friends concerned, as well.
After promising her mother to do 'makeovers' with her, Sam gets a chili invitation from Todd. Problems with his new (and slightly psycho) girlfriend ensue.
Samantha's boss, billionaire Winston Funk, arrives at his twice-a-year visit at Chapman & Funk... and proposes to Samantha! And Samantha has no recollection of her past, secret (especially from Andrea) intimate relationship with Funk.
Sam uses the budding relationship between her boss and her friend, Dena, to stop a construction project that would destroy the home of an endangered species, while trying to figure out why Todd keeps ignoring her.
Sam ponders over the idea of using the invitation she got from Todd send her for his gallery exhibit and wonders what kind of message she'll be giving by attending with someone else.
All signs point to the fact that Samantha's mother is having an affair, while she sneaks around with Todd under Chloe's nose and Andrea ponders over the possibility of going into a partnership with Dena in acquiring a coffee shop.
Sam decides she's through sneaking around with Todd, while Andrea and Sam's mother fight for the opportunity to put Sam's birthday party together.
