Plot

Frank and Audrey Harrington's world has exploded. One Sunday morning, Japan attacks Pearl Harbor and suddenly the United States is at war. Blackouts, paper drives, and rationing become part of everyday life. And Frank and Audrey's oldest brother, Steve, announces that he's enlisting in the Army. Then the government rules that all Japanese-Americans--including the Harrington's friends, the Wakamutsus--must leave their homes and go to huge internment camps. What will happen to the Wakamutsus and their home? Will Steve be safe? And how can Frank and Audrey help their sister, Alice, when she learns that her fiance is missing in action?
