A Lamplighter for Christ: D. James Kennedy – A Celebration and Remembrance

He was, first and foremost, a "lamplighter." The passion of Dr. D. James Kennedy, "Jim" to so many, was to bring the light of Christ into the lives of people everywhere. Men and women on every continent and in every nation have heard and answered the call of the Gospel because of his faithfulness to the vision God gave him to reach the world.

He leaves behind a trail of light that will shine for all eternity. The beloved long-time senior minister of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, Dr. Kennedy entered into the presence of God in Heaven on September 5, 2007 at age 76. He is survived by Anne, his beloved wife of 51 years, and his daughter, Jennifer.
