September 21, 2002: The Adversary is a very well-balanced book dealing with a topic many Christians shy away from--spiritual warfare against the kingdom of Satan. My wife and I were pleased to see that this book does not delve into the emotional or sensationalist treatments of this topic that are seen in other Christian writings. I thought is was excellent how the author starts off the book by describing the sins of the flesh that all Christians struggle with, which must be distinguished from a genuine attack from demons. Mr. Bubeck provides some first hand examples of how he has driven demons from people, a process that medical science or psychology knows little about. You must be in a serious state of mind when reading this wonderful book, which courageously addresses a subject that many churches neglect to the hurt of their own people.
