The Page Turner

What seems at first blush to be a quiet story about a young girl's failure in a piano competition turns into a fine study in revenge. French director Denis Dercourt masterfully plays with tension and the viewer's expectations as the now grown-up girl insinuates her way into the home of the professional pianist who dashed her hopes. Déborah François, now a household name in France, is chilling as the steely-eyed psychopath.
