Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines made an onstage crack in 2003 about being "ashamed" of U.S. President George W. Bush, her fellow Texan, just as America was heading into the Iraq War. As documentarians Barbara Kopple and Cecilia Peck vividly show in words, pictures and toe-tapping music, the Chicks became the object of hatred, yet grew leaps and bounds both personally and musically.
