Dr. Doom tries to recruit Spider-Man to his cause and fails, so he uses another tactic. He decides to capture Spider-Man and use him as bait for the Fantastic Four. However, instead of the real Spider-Man, he captures Flash Thompson in a Spider-Man costume. The real Spider-Man intervenes to help, and manages to foil Doom's plot before the real FF arrive.
