"Embedded, Part 1" - The ramifications of the Stamford Disaster have the country's members of the press running wild, pulling together anything and everything they can to report the events and boost circulation. Ben Urich has been given a specific assignment from J. Jonah Jameson, which is on the other side of the perspectives than Sally Floyd has been given. While they are trying to sort things out, Iron Man makes a very significant announcement. "The Accused, Part 1" - The body count in Stamford is one too high. Thanks to his kinetic energy field, Speedball survived, but was thrown hundreds of miles away. The field helped him survive the landing, but was burned out in the process, leaving him alive but seriously injured. Just as he comes to, he is informed that S.H.I.E.L.D. has placed him under arrest. Unnamed, anonymous poem - A poem about Japanese internment camps that circulated in the 1940s is reproduced with art highlighting the similarities between that situation and the superhuman registration act.
