As the Exiles seek a break to return to their personal lives, the Timebreakers enact a plan to regain control of the Crystal Palace.By sending the Exiles on a mission to Heather Hudson's Earth, and making them commit all of their reserves, they take back the Tallus and regain control. The Timebroker appears and lets the Exiles know that they've been 'fired' because they couldn't be relied upon.
