Dr. Calvin Zabo is confused. At the age of 15, Peter Parker was granted awesome powers... and used them responsibly. To help clear his confusion, he is kidnapping young men whose parents are no longer there to watch them, and attempting to replicate Spider-Man's powers in them to test a hypothesis that half of them will turn to heroism. But the injections he's giving the kids are having mutagenic effects he didn't anticipate.Unaware who is behind it, Peter uneasily accepts the aid of Reed Richards in tracking where these kids are being experimented on.
