The Fantastic Four take time off from wedding preparations to track down the Skrull responsible for the death of Dr. Storm. They travel to the Skrull homeworld to do this, but find their powers have faded, and are captured. Reed tricks the Skrulls into letting him build a power booster, claiming it is a weapon, which he uses to restore their abilities. They defeat Morrat, who was in charge of the operation that killed Dr. Storm, and are allowed safe passage back to Earth (as the Skrull ruler's daughter would have died if not for their intervention.) They get home just in time for a wedding rehearsal.
