"The Secret of the Golden Thunderbolts" - Hal Jordan is approached by a man seeking the help of Green Lantern. The man is from the parallel universe of Qward, where evil is prized over good, and he came to Earth as a refugee. Hal must try to protect Telle-Teg and his Qwardian friends from the Qwardian Weaponers that have also made the transition from one world to another.
"Riddle of the Frozen Ghost Town" - Hal learns that his mechanic, who was nicknamed "Pieface" long before the phrase "politically correct" joined the common vernacular, has decided to quit. Investigating, he learns that Pieface is trying to find his Dad's old partner so they can track down a gold mine that will provide for Pieface's people. Hal helps as Green Lantern, but in doing so, gives a little too much away.
