Kyle's ring has run out of power for the first time. He faces Major Force powerless, until Force draws out the green metal fragment found at the scene where Kyle obtained his ring. The metal becomes a power battery, fueling Kyle's ring to match his anger. When that's wrapped up, he gets a visit from Alan Scott, who fills in some of the events of Zero Hour to give Kyle some understanding of what's been going on.
