A criminal named the Vanisher pulls off a successful series of robberies, using his power of teleportation to come and go as he pleases without getting caught. The first time the X-Men face him, he toys with them long enough to take their measure, and then vanishes with the stolen goods. The second time, they bring Professor X, who has a plan in mind.
