The X-Men pursue the Sentinels to their hideout, only to have Iceman and Beast captured by the Master Mold. The Beast is subjected to a psychoprobe that forces him to tell his life story, revealing his history before joining the X-Men. Professor X is able to intervene before he gives away the location of their base, but in doing so, he alerts the Sentinels to his presence.
