The Way It Began - Eons ago, an advanced race decided to share their knowledge with less advances peoples, starting with the world of Prosilicus. When the people abused thier newfound knowledge, leaving the planet a nearly uninhabitable wasteland, the advanced race chose to become a race of watchers, who recorded event but did not participate in them.
