The Demons Three animate the uniforms of several Leaguers and force them to free the Demons from their prisons; the magic used to animate the costumes is not strong enough and the Demons instead use them to summon enemies of the League. The League find their regular costumes missing and use backups before they battle the villains who are defeated but not before the Leaguer's costumes are damaged. The League find their original costumes and change into them before being called to battle the villains again but this time, when they attack, the villains disappear, leaving only their animated costumes for the League to fight. By the time the villains are defeated, the Leaguers are tired enough so that they cannot battle against the magic from the Demons Three who use the costumes to force the League to free them. Due to a failsafe from Green Lantern, however, as soon as the Demons are freed, the wheel, jar and bell they depend on for their powers disappear which causes the Demons to be re-imprisoned.
