Justice League of America, Vol. 1

Five of the Leaguers are abducted from the sanctuary and brought to a world where beings - who believe everything they do is right, though they don't know why they do it - are convinced that they have to remove the heroes' powers. Once their powers are removed, their captors are attacked by beings from another world who, in turn, attack the Leaguers.Each of the attacks would have killed the heroes had their powers, and thus their vulnerabilities, not been removed. The Leaguers defeat the aliens and the beings who brought them to the world, convinced they were right, restore their powers and return them to Earth.
