Col. Darnell goes overseas on a mission, leaving newly promoted Major Steve Trevor in charge. With Darnell gone, Diana gets a vacation, which allows her to easily heed her summons back to Amazon Island. Once there, she is given the gift of a magic chain tied into a lasso, which forces others to do her bidding. It may come in handy when she goes to the rescue of the missing Darnell.
