Thor, Vol. 1

The contingent of Avengers heading into Shi'Ar space is met by attack, as they are mistakenly associated with the Kree vessel that is attacking simultaneously. The outpost sends out a distress call which is heard by Gladiator, who comes to their aid. Wonder Man and Thor fend off the Gladiator, while Living Lightning and Captain Marvel investigate the fallen Kree vessel, only to discover that the occupants have turned to ash, save a single Skrull who triggers a self destruct device. Thor eventually manages to best the Gladiator, though he does not do so easily, and decides to take him out of play by throwing him through the wormhole to Earth and sealing it permanently. After that, the group continues to the heart of the Shi'Ar empire, where they are clearly expected.
