Nick Fury's Howlers are in action along with Lieutenant Spencer "Skinny" Parker, and are raiding an ammo depot. Before the raid begins, Fury seems to go nuts, violating orders and striking a superior officers to stop the raid. In the ensuing ruckus, he is knocked unconscious, and awakens to learn he's on trial for a court-martial. The evidence against him is undeniable, but he suffers from amnesia, and is unable to provide a reason for his actions.
