Fury's life is at risk when he visits his doctor. The doc has good news and bad news, but an assassin aiming for Fury kills him before he can share either. Fury pursues the assassin, recognizing him as a lackey of the Hate-Monger, thought dead since their first encounter (depicted in Fantastic Four, Vol. 1 #21.) Fury, Jones, Dugan and Woo pursue their leads right into the new Hate-Monger's hands, where they are assaulted by a version of the Psycho-Tron seen in Avengers, Vol. 1 #42. Fortunately, they have a little inside help in dealing with the problem.
