Following the events of "Marvel Two-In-One #3," Daredevil and Thing part ways, as D.D. follows his new leads on the Black Spectre organization. With Shanna's help and a lucky encounter in Matt Murdock's apartment, he learns that the Mandrill is the true ruler of the Black Spectre, but that knowledge has not yet helped him stop the organization.
