Fury has been feeding his questioners a widely assorted variety of verbal dung. Knowing that they lied to him about their identities, he lied to them about what they wanted to know. When his super agents intervene, he learns that Gyrich was behind his questioning, and that he's been collected to find and stop the same Dr. Ishii he stopped at the end of World War II, as recapped in issue 38.
