"The Jailing Of Hal Jordan" - Green Lantern captures three men after a bank robbery, not realizing a fourth robber was still inside. The fourth man makes off with $50,000, and then inherits $3,500,000 from a dead uncle. The fourth man also has an affection for Carol Ferris, so he plants the stolen money in Hal's apartment to have him jailed. Can Hal prove his innocence without revealing his identity or escaping from jail before his ring runs out of power?
"The End Of A Gladiator" - Hal Jordan's deceased body has been returned to Earth. Dr. Polaris had captured Pieface, using him as bait, while surrounding GL's power battery with a magnetic field that prevented proper recharging. With Hal's ring out of energy and the last reserves spent saving Pieface, he was left without any sort of power to save himself from Dr. Polaris' next attack.
