Hal Jordan receives an invitation to Barry Allen's wedding (see Flash Vol. 1 #165), but is unable to attend, as he didn't receive the invitation until after the ceremony. Still, he is inspired to ask Carol Ferris to marry him, but when he tries he learns she has agreed to marry someone else. He tries to distract himself by capturing the Dazzler, a criminal modelled on a television character, but even a case involving aliens on Earth isn't enough to keep his mind completely off his problems. Deciding he can no longer live in Coast City, he leaves, becoming a wanderer instead.
