Hal feels a strange calling to the future, and travels there under his own ring power. Once there, he meets Pol Manning, the fictitious alter ego created for him when he was in the future previously. Manning is an evil, twisted version of himself, who is nearly immune to the ring power and is trying to take over society. Jordan needs to find a way to defeat both his alter ego, and Manning's Neoman warrior creations.
