J. Jonah Jameson has the Spider-Man costume and web shooters. Alastair Smythe has been manipulating Jameson behind the scenes lately, and they will now use this equipment to draw Spider-Man out into a trap. Peter is fully aware that it is a trap, but he'll be springing it anyway, just to get his stuff back.
This issue also reprints classic Spider-Slayer storis from Amazing Spider-Man, Vol. 1 #25, 58 and 192.
