Hulk flees to Antarctica in hopes of finding refuge from his human pursuers. He grows tired, reverting back to Bruce Banner in time to be rescued by a group of researchers studying global warming. Two of the researchers discover Fin Fang Foom buried in the ice. While one heads back to base, the researcher left alone with Foom is possessed as a host to help Foom rebuild his strength. After they all return to base, one researcher is killed, and the others blame Banner, whose increased stress levels turn him into the Hulk. At this point, Foom reveals himself and the fight begins. Hulk rejects Foom's proposal to ally themselves with each other and take over the world, preferring instead to decide that the Earth isn't big enough for the both of them and throwing Foom to the moon, before he leaves seeking solitude once more.
