"Strange Spells of the Sorcerer" - A series of mythological phantoms are appearing, each timed to cover up a theft. The Hawkpeople realize that the missing items are ingredients to a spell, and they must determine the identity and location of the magician if they hope to prevent him from using his new power.

"Shadow Thief of Midway City" - Criminal Carl Sands helps out a traveler from a nearby dimension, and gains the ability to turn himself into a living shadow to commit a variety of daring thefts. Immune to normal forms of capture, it appears he'll be free to do as he pleases unless the Hawkpeople can come up with an usual way to contain him.
