Star Trek (Western Publishing Co. 1967)

The Enterprise finds a planet encircled by rainbow coloured rings of asteroids. They soon discover the rings are deadly to the indiginous population, which has fled onto two different orbiting satellites. The population asks for help destroying the rings so they might return home, and the Enterprise crew agrees to help. They soon learn that the natives aren't as peaceful or as truthful as they have claimed to be.
