The X-Men are concerned about the now powerless Professor X. When they spot a new mutant on a televised track meet, they act on their own to help him, only to discover it's really Toad in disguise. They end up holding Toad while the Brotherhood have captured Angel. They follow Toad as he returns to Asteroid M, where they confront the Brotherhood in a battle that destroys the asteriod with themselves still inside.
