The Justice Society are held captive by a cosmic being called Aquarius when the League arrive in Earth-Two space to free them. Unsettled by their approach, Aquarius leaves but not before instructing the Society to fight against the new comers. The two teams fight and Green Arrow traps Black Canary with a new arrow, essentially sticking her with glue to the floor. As Aquarius launches an attack, a huge ball of energy charges towards Canary and is stopped by her husband throwing himself into its path, but at the cost of his own life. The burst of energy causes the Society to regain their senses and, mere hours later, Larry Lance is buried. The teams track down Aquarius in space and, with the help of the two Green Lanterns, trick the creature into the anti-matter universe where he explodes. As the League prepare to leave for Earth-One, Black Canary asks to go with them to escape from the memories of her husband.
