Power Man and Iron Fist

#99

This Deadly Secret

Shades' blast has hurled the Heroes from the George Washington Bridge! They twist so Luke takes the brunt of it, knocking him out! With Herculean effort, Danny recovers him and gets him breathing again, but it's a near thing! Investigating Rand-Meachum, the ladies of Nightwing discover Danny's stolen gem. Preparing to sneak away, they spot El Aguila and come to his rescue. It seems Rand-Meachum has been hiring criminals and the Eagle would like to know why! The three defeat the rabble when Fera appears! She seizes Misty, forcing Colleen and Aguila to retreat. Luke and Danny return home, bruised and battered, and discover D. W. is missing and his films have been stolen. Lt. Scarfe also tells them someone sprung Shades and Comanche! Elsewhere, those villains realize they did not steal the correct film, and a disgusted Fera retrieves to complete their task. Colleen and El Aguila arrive with news of their encounter. Then Fera appears. Fast as lightning, she nearly overwhelms all of them, but they manage to drive her into a rage that corrodes her skills, until she finally flees! But the heroes realize the film is important. Retrieving it from the dryer where the thieves missed it, they soon learn Ward Meachum is at the root of their difficulties, and vow to make him pay. But at Rand-Meachum, men place the Power Gem in a socket and a figure coalesces from mist. Master Khan has come to handle things personally!
