Mulder and Scully are called in to investigate a series of deaths among the elderly, which are happening simultaneously, linked by a marking of the Chinese Tong. When forensic DNA and fingerprint evidence indicates both individuals were killed by the same attacker at the same time, and this attacker has an air-tight alibi, Mulder looks to the paranormal for explanations.
