Richard Rider has less than 48 hours to live. He's going to find that hard to cope with if he doesn't get some sort of psychological or medical help. Quasar offers, but vanishes. He heads back to P.E.G.A.S.U.S. to get their help, only to find H.A.M.M.E.R. has secured the location, and Dr. Eve Neckar has been collecting two paychecks. Just when things couldn't get any weirder, Quasar returns.
