"Green Lantern - His Personal History" - This recaps the origin of Alan Scott as Green Lantern, as originally told in "All-American Comics #16" cover dated July, 1940.

"The Masquerading Mare" - Irene Miller inherits a race horse from an old estate, and soon finds herself harassed by those who want to buy her. When the thugs start working with her cousin, she finds herself in real trouble.

"Will Power" - This prose piece by William Moulton Marsten (best known to comic readers as the creator of Wonder Woman) promotes the use and development of "Will Power" by the youths of the day through examples of successes in the past.

"Disease" - A pneumonia epidemic is sweeping the city. The hospital is short on serum because the money was stolen by grafters. Scott learns of this, but finds his usual methods won't work against criminals this clever. He decides to use other tactics, and heads out to do what he can in another way.

"Arson in the Slums" - A number of buildings in one particular city slum have burned down, leading a local newspaper to call for the city to buy out the properties and replace them with new buildings. After one too many coincidences, Green Lantern investigates.

Hop Harrigan in "Trailers of Treachery" - Hop's friend Tank is grabbed and taken away by two strangers. Fearing the worst, Hop gets Doiby to help track Tank down, and the pair soon find themselves arrested for speeding. With Green Lantern's help, they get out of prison and go looking for Tank once more.

"Green Lantern" - Alan Scott is sent to South America to help out a local affiliate radio station, and brings Doiby Dickles along. The two get embroiled in a local civil war, and discover the group that is really behind the troubles.
