Dick Grayson is working as Batman to help train and coach Damien as the new Robin. This is interrupted by the sudden arrival of Boston Brand, who is looking for help resisting the call of the black rings, and stopping his own reanimated corpse from walking the Earth. It's not long before all involved realize the magnitude of the problems before them.
