Black Rings are raising the dead. These Black Lanterns are provoking emotional reactions in the hearts of those who were close to them in life, and then harvesting their hearts for the emotional energy they contain. Barry Allen has learned the truth of them... they are not truly the dead returned, but facsimiles animated by the rings, using the memories of the deceased. Barry can only think of one being on Earth that might be able to help deal with something so big - his friend Solovar. However, Barry isn't aware that the king of Gorilla City is dead. He's also having to face up to the fact that his nemesis, the Reverse-Flash is also due for a resurrection, and wondering whether the Blackest Night has something to do with it. But back in Central City, the Rogues are preparing to deal with their own risen dead.
