The die is cast. Ratchet has made a deal with the Devil himself... Megatron. If Ratchet destroys Shockwave, then Megatron has agreed to leave the Ark, and it's load of scrapped Autobots to him. An agreement in which Megatron wins regardless of the outcome... either Ratchet will perish, leaving no more Autobots functional, or Shockwave will be destroyed, allowing Megatron to retake leadership of the Decepticons. And the agreement is bound with an ancient Cybertronian ritual that no Autobot has ever broken... but Ratchet suspects that Megatron will renege upon instantly. Ratchet's only hope is to locate the Dinobots, five Autobot warriors dispatched from the Ark almost four million years ago, when it detected Shockwave's arrival on Earth. Traveling to the Savage Land in the continent of Antarctica, if Ratchet fails to locate the Dinobots, then the Autobots and the Earth are doomed.
