Mr Miracle convinces Metron to talk rather than fight which causes the computer to realise things are not going its way. As Metron realises what has happened, the computer abandons its hideout. In Paris, as the Global Guardians leave the Dome, Green Flame and Ice Maiden ponder what they are going to do. After Metron has destroyed the computer's base, the League leave while Maxwell Lord is confronted by the computer which is now based in his office's system. It reveals that it was the one who repaired Max after he was shot by his secretary and forces him to remember how he had arrived at his present position of League liaison. It was with the computer's aid that he managed to convince the League to keep him on after helping stage the attack by the Royal Flush Gang but after having been shot by his secretary, he has decided that enough is enough and destroys the computer. The League arrive and take him to hospital, the computer's repair job having come apart when Max destroyed it, and formally make him a member of the League.
