"Seeds of Destruction!": The Justice League members are attacked by marauding giant plants when an alien "Johnny Appleseed" and his son come to Earth in a misguided attempt to restore its ecological balance. The heroes are unable either to stop the damage being done by the extraterrestrial plants, or to convince the visitors that they are doing more harm than good, until they pretend to assist in the planting campaign. The aliens are then deprived of their power-staffs, without which even they cannot survive in the environment being created by their plants. Realizing their error, they depart for their own world.
"The Sandman: Case of the Stolen Emeralds": The Van Leew Emeralds were stolen one night ago, and both the Sandman and Dian suspect Mad Maddon, a criminal who recently escaped from prison. The Sandman investigates, only to find out that the crooks have hidden the gems in the home of Wesley Dodds himself. So the Sandman steals the emeralds from himself and leaves his calling card, but later the prime suspect for the theft turns up dead in Dodds' home, and of course the police believe the Sandman did it. The Sandman tracks down the real thieves, gasses them, and runs away as the police arrive.
