Placed on trial for the illegal imprisonment of Ultraa, the League are unaware that the lawyer bringing the case is actually an alien life form intent on destroying humanity. After Superman is attacked by the creature in its natural state, Ultraa sees it reform into his lawyer. He decides to watch his lawyer as the trial continues.
