Justice League of America, Vol. 1

Following the events of the previous issue, the Leaguers find themselves missing half their powers and decide the only way to retrieve them is to re-activate Amazo, the android designed to absorb the molecules that power the League.They devise a plan, planting a suggestion in Amazo's mind that he is dying and only the League can save him, though they refuse to do so. Splitting up into teams, Amazo hunts them down, slowly absorbing their powers as he chases them for the fake cure that they appear to hold. Eventually he defeats them and takes hold of the cure which in reality is designed to deactivate him again.Returning Amazo to the satellite, the League intend to siphon off the powers Amazo has absorbed and return them to the individual Leaguers but he re-activates and appears to have killed them. Using Batman's reasoning, Amazo had divined their plan and was able to use it against them. Batman was unaffected, however, as he had deduced the fact that Amazo would work out what was happening and planned for it, once again deactivating the android and allowing the League's powers to be restored.
