An alien being relates the case of Green Lantern attempting to prevent a theft at STAR labs only to be knocked unconcious by an energy beam fired from the hands of one of the criminals. He then mentions the Flas being called to investigate a fake statue of Napoleon on display at a Central City museum which explodes when he touches it. Answering a Justice League emergency signal, Flash transports up to the satellite where he finds Two-Face standing with other Leaguers.Two-Face tells the League he was released from Arkham and taken to a mansion where he met his benefactors - aliens inhabiting statues of Napoleon, Benjamin Franklin and Julius Caesar - who offer him a power charge for a price. Later he overhears their plans to siphon off energy from their universe into the League's by using criminals as organic funnels, an effect which will destroy the universe but save their own.As the League check out his story, Aquaman contacts them with news of a prison break where the convicts are using the same power charges that Green Lantern had already faced. As the League were stunned by the convicts, Aquaman caused a giant wave to break on shore, shorting out the power.Meanwhile other Leaguers had gone to the mansion to confront the aliens but found they had left the statues and returned to their own universe where they have allied themselves with the Weaponers of Qward.
